Background
This scheme is administered by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and funded by the Department for Transport (DfT).
Objectives of Fund
The EV Chargepoint Grant for Landlords is for commercial landlords that rent, lease or manage commercial properties.
Value Notes
Property owners can apply for an electric vehicle chargepoint grant (EV chargepoint grant) to install a chargepoint at a residential property they own.
The grant covers 75% of the cost of purchasing and installing chargepoints, up to a maximum of £500 per socket.
Applicants can receive grants for up to 200 sockets per year.
Match Funding Restrictions
At least 25% of the project costs must be met through match funding.
Who Can Apply
Eligibility is limited to residential landlords who own or manage flats, houses, apartment blocks or communal areas within multi-unit residential properties in the UK (excluding the Channel Islands and Isle of Man). The scheme applies to existing properties only and cannot be used for new builds under construction.
Eligible applicants include individuals, companies, charities, social housing providers, public sector bodies, and property management organisations acting on behalf of landlords, provided they are UK-registered. Applicants must also be registered with Companies House, VAT registered, or listed on the social housing provider register.
